Battered Kitchen Table Into Small Writing Desk

The streets of Paris may not be paved with gold but they are filled with treasures. This table was found on a sidewalk. The legs were wobbly and there was a slit running lengthwise across the top, right in the middle. After restoring the board and reinforcing the joints, it was stripped, stained and fabric, previously treated to last, was applied to it. The wooden draw knob was replaced by a metal handle, also found in the street.

A reclaimed pencil case was made to match the desk.
